Itinerary
Your adventure begins on the very first day with your arrival at Keflavík International Airport (KEF). There, you will take a comfortable bus that will drop you off just steps away from your hotel.
In the afternoon, we invite you to immerse yourself in the essence of the city with a stroll through the vibrant downtown, where you will discover charming corners full of life. The experience intensifies with a visit to the impressive FlyOver Iceland attraction, a visual adventure that will take your breath away. To top off the day, we will enjoy a delicious dinner together at one of the city’s most welcoming restaurants.
After enjoying an exceptional breakfast, we will head towards the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, a place that hosts some of the most photogenic landscapes in the entire country.
A day full of natural wonders awaits you: wild coasts, the spectacular basalt column cliffs at Arnarstapi, the charming black church of Búðir, the Búðahraun lava field, the impressive and unique sea pillars of Lóndrangar, and the iconic volcanic origin mountain Kirkjuffel.
Every corner of this place is a feast for the eyes and a unique opportunity to capture the unparalleled beauty of Iceland with your camera. Get ready for a day full of inspiration and awe.
We start the day with a sunrise photo session at Kirkjufell, and after that, we will embark on our journey towards the stunning landscape of Iceland’s south coast, heading to Hella.
Our first stop will be at Seljalandsfoss, a beautiful waterfall that offers the possibility of being explored in 360 degrees. A short distance away, the magnificent Skogafoss waterfall awaits us, a thundering colossus with a dizzying 60-meter drop. And not far away, we will find Kvernufoss, where you will have the opportunity to get close enough to capture the texture of the water plummeting down to the river below, or alternatively, you can choose to step back a bit and photograph the waterfall framed by snow-covered cliffs.
Each of these stops is a unique opportunity to immortalize the majesty of Icelandic nature and add stunning photographs to your collection.
We will set course for Vatnajokull National Park, where we will spend two unforgettable days. But first, a spectacular spot awaits us to enjoy the sunrise in Vik and its black sand beach.
In the afternoon, we will immerse ourselves in the calm and serene atmosphere of the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, where large icebergs float on the crystal-clear surface of the water before drifting out to sea.
As sunset approaches, we will move to Diamond Beach, giving us the opportunity to capture the glorious sunlight shining through the pieces of ice on the shore.
This day is destined to be a unique visual and emotional experience, where the majesty of nature reveals itself in all its splendor.
This morning we will return to the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon for our ice cave excursion. The duration of the excursion is 4 hours, and it is optional and not included in the price of the trip.
We will spend the rest of the day photographing some of the beautiful locations in this area. In the evening, we may have another opportunity to photograph the aurora borealis, and we will try to capture it over the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon or the nearby Fjallsárlón.
After breakfast, we will head towards the Stokksnes peninsula, home to the impressive mountain of Vestrahorn. Its foreground is filled with compositions, from undulating black sand dunes amidst the snow, to grass fields and frozen puddles. Depending on the tide, we may be able to capture the reflection of Vestrahorn on the nearby beach, or the waves crashing around it.
The Skaftafell Natural Reserve, renowned for its dreamlike landscapes, is a unique place where you will have the opportunity to photograph glacier tongues, charming lagoons, majestic snow-covered peaks, frozen waterfalls, and rivers flowing directly from the glaciers.
For sunset, we will return along the south coast until we reach Reynisfjara beach, where we will capture the imposing pillars of Reynisdrangar from a completely different perspective.
This day promises to be a journey full of discoveries and natural beauty, providing you with the opportunity to immortalize Iceland’s most impressive landscapes with your camera.
On this eighth day, we will dedicate our time to exploring the three main attractions of the Golden Circle route: Þingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss waterfall. Þingvellir is not just a National Park, but also a UNESCO World Heritage site, located in a rift valley created by the separation of two tectonic plates.
In the Geysir geothermal area, you will have the opportunity to photograph the Strokkur geyser, which erupts every few minutes, shooting water and steam nearly 20 meters high. Meanwhile, the nearby Gullfoss waterfall offers a spectacular view of the forces of nature in action.
Once we have finished photographing along the Golden Circle, we will head to relax at the fantastic Blue Lagoon and then to our hotel in Keflavik, putting the perfect end to a day full of adventures and discoveries.
Thank you for traveling with us and we hope you had a wonderful time exploring Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes. We wish you safe travels back home and hope to see you again in the future. Goodbye!
