Description
Tenerife Photo Tour 2026
We have organized a fascinating tour through the most photogenic landscapes of Tenerife:
Tenerife is an island in the Atlantic Ocean belonging to the Spanish autonomous community of the Canary Islands. Along with La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro, it forms the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. With an area of 2,034.38 km2 and a population of 927,993 inhabitants, it is the largest island in the Canary archipelago and the most populous in Spain.
“El Teide”
The volcanic origin is present in all its landscapes. Its volcano, “El Teide,” is the third highest in the world, standing at 3,718 meters above sea level.
Seas of clouds that will make you believe you are in the sky, tremendous stretches of land resembling Mars that will delight photographers, dense forests full of twisted moss-covered trees that will make us think we are in a Tim Burton movie, perfect beaches facing the sunset that seem designed by an architect, and imposing lighthouses observing the Milky Way.
Milky Way
In our Photography Expedition, we will provide particular dedication to the nighttime part, and we have scheduled the dates to have the best nights with the Milky Way. You will learn how to plan, capture, and process astrophotography alongside a specialist in the field: Jose D. Riquelme.
We invite you to be part of this journey, which will be an unforgettable visual experience.

Itinerary
The journey begins with all participants arriving at Tenerife North Airport, nestled between green mountains and misty skies. After a short transfer to Puerto de la Cruz, we settle into our accommodation. The sound of the Atlantic welcomes us, and the group gathers for introductions and a preview of the photographic adventure ahead.
We start early and head to the Anaga Rural Park, a prehistoric forest where laurel trees have stood for millennia. Mist dances between twisted trunks, and viewpoints open onto a vast Atlantic horizon. After a scenic lunch, we descend to Taganana and Benijo, where jagged rocks rise from the ocean and the waves roar—perfect conditions for dramatic seascapes at sunset.
This day is about exploring some of the north’s most iconic villages. Garachico, reborn from lava; Icod de los Vinos, home to the thousand-year-old dragon tree; and Teno Alto, a peaceful, rural world lost in time. The day ends at Playa de los Roques, where volcanic silhouettes cut across the golden light of dusk.
The morning is devoted to a group editing session, where we refine our images, share techniques, and discuss composition. It’s also a chance to relax by the pool and recharge. In the afternoon, we visit the coastal zones of Juan Sentella and Charco del Viento, where water and rock form perfect geometries for long exposures and textured frames.
We leave the north behind and travel toward the southern coast via the dramatic western road. Along the way, we stop at picturesque Masca, the volcanic valley of Santiago del Teide, the towering cliffs of Los Gigantes, and the tranquil Playa de San Juan. The sunset session takes place in the otherworldly volcanic terrain of Samara.
The morning is free for rest or more photo editing. In the afternoon, we return to Masca, bathed in golden light—completely transformed from our earlier visit. After dinner, we drive to Porís Lighthouse, a remote coastal location perfect for night photography and shooting under a pristine sky.
We climb toward Teide National Park via the scenic Chío road, stopping at various points along the way to photograph lava fields and alien-like terrain. The afternoon brings a glowing sunset at Mirador de Ayosa, and once darkness falls, we photograph the Milky Way from iconic spots like Roque de García and Las Minas de San José.
This morning is free for exploration: ride the Teide cable car, discover new paths, or continue refining your edits. In the afternoon, we return to our favorite locations or seek new compositions. The final night is dedicated to one last Milky Way session among the volcanic shadows and starlit silence.
After breakfast, we return to Tenerife North Airport. Memory cards are full, batteries are spent, and each participant leaves with a collection of powerful images—and the wild soul of Tenerife etched in their memory.
